TB420-ES4-GeH4 Germane Smart Gas Sensor Module

The EC Sense TB420-ES4-GeH4 is a two-wire 4-20 mA smart gas sensor module built on German solid-polymer electrochemical sensing technology, designed for Germane detection with a 0 – 5 ppm range and 0.01 ppm resolution. It converts the sensor's small current signal into a standard 4-20 mA output through a digital circuit, and can also be converted to a 40-200 mV voltage output via an external resistor, connecting directly to displays, DCS, PLC and similar systems. Selection note: Germane is used in SiGe epitaxy and thin-film deposition and is likewise a pyrophoric, highly toxic hydride. The official 0 – 5 ppm range with 0.01 ppm resolution suits leak confirmation; plan silane, diborane and germane points separately rather than sharing one channel where cross-response cannot be separated.

Calibration & Cross-Sensitivity

Every module is professionally calibrated with standard gas before shipment and the calibration data is stored in its flash chip, so it can be used without warm-up. EC Sense provides calibration software should recalibration or correction of the 4-20 mA output be required. Refer to the datasheet for the calibration gas and cross-sensitivity data.
